“It smells good in here,” Jade said as she walked through the kitchen door.

“About time you guys made it to the food,” Samuel said from the stove. “Pancakes, bacon, fried potatoes, fruit and mimosas are waiting for you.”

“Wow, that’s quite a spread.” Jade kissed her brother’s cheek.

“It’s the least I can do. I don’t know what you and Blake said to Samantha, but it’s the first time in a month, that I got a hug and good morning, Daddy from her.”

“He damn near fell to his knees when she ran out the room,” Adam said from the island.

“Good morning my other half,” Jade hugged Adam.

“You got that bridal glow going on,” Amber said as she hugged her.

“That’s because I’m happy,” Jade smiled.

“It’s because you and Blake just got freaky in the shower,” Adam corrected her.

“Brother-in-law, don’t be spreading my business.” Blake said as he walked in the door.

“Nothing to be ashamed of my new brother,” Adam chuckled. “Since Ruby has the twins with her, we been getting busy all morning.”

“Adam,” Amber punched him.

“What, it’s true,” Adam leaned over and kissed her. “Look at you blushing.”

“All I’m going to say is the only person who gets to make babies in this house is me.” Samuel placed another platter of potatoes on the table.

Jade looked around as Blake sat next to her. “Where are the kids?”

“Frankie, Gabe, Ivy and Iris are over at Sally’s with Teddi and Lil Joe. Roc is handling them. Samantha, Sage, Taria and Cinnamon are upstairs in her room waiting for Brianna.”

Jade smiled. “Good that gives us a chance to talk with you about Samantha.”

“What about her?”

“We want to put on a Christmas production with the kids.” Jade said.

“It is Samantha’s way of showing you she is serious about becoming an actress.” Blake added.

“An actress?” Samuel stared at him. “When did that become a thing?”

“When you pulled her from the pageant,” Jade replied.

“Let’s be honest,” Adam smirked. “Some of the performances she has put on to get her way with you shows she has talent.”

“Yep, she is a good little actress.” Amber chuckled. “I’ve been watching her from the sidelines for a while now. She’s good.”

“We all have watched her performances,” Jade nodded as she laughed at Samuel’s expression. “She’s a mini-Cynthia.”

“Yes, she is,” Blake nodded. “The thing is Samuel I do think she could be really good at it with the proper training. Under the right guidance, you might have a little star on your hands.”

“Oh God,” Samuel groaned.

“No, think about it,” Adam offered. “This may be a way to see if she is really serious about acting.”

“A Christmas production by the great Blake Thornton, should raise a few eyebrows.” Amber added. “At the very least, if you let her do this it will seem like you are supporting her.”

“With Blake and me guiding her through the production, she will see the hard work it takes to make the magic happen on screen. If it’s too much she’ll move on to the next thing. But it will not be you making that decision for her.
